The VermiBag Mini a perfect sized system for a small family, school classroom or apartments.

A popular add on is the the VermiWindow, which allows you to take a look into the world of the worms. This is perfect for teachers or parents to show their kids how the worms process waste. It is amazing to watch a piece of cantaloupe or avocado, disappear in a matter of a couple days. The window allows everyone to look into the worm bin…..even people that are squeamish about bugs and creepy crawling things. At any one time, there can easily be a couple hundred worms in the window area, working on the food that is there. You can add this inexpensive option to any VermiBag during the checkout process.

The VermiBag Harvest Panel is simple to open…simple to close and nearly escape proof. Harvesting castings has never been this easy. Our Exclusive Harvest Panel is designed with an inner liner to protect the zipper from water and dirt and it also tapers to provide a restriction in the bag allowing you to open the bottom completely without fear of the entire contents of the bag coming out. You can literally harvest the bag with one hand if needed……It’s that easy. This system has proven itself over the last 4 years without any issues.

Quality Materials

Built to Last….Constructed using the highest quality materials. All Vermi-Bags are made with Cordua 1000d, 500d nylon and/or 800d Polyester Canvas. This is the same types of material that they make high end backpacks and sail covers out of. This material is super strong and built to last a lifetime.

Zippered Top

Zippered top to keep pests out of your bag and the worms in. This tough breathable nylon top is installed with #8 YKK zippers and double pulls, so you can position your zipper where you want whether you’re right or left handed.

The Mini is now offered with 2 different options for the lid.

1) Solid Breathable Lid (Good all round lid. This performs well in most climates)

3) Zippered Ventilation Lid (ZipVent) This is the best of both worlds and allows you to adjust the ventilation in your system as the weather changes…if it’s dry…keep the vent closed…if it’s wet and humid…open the vent to provide maximum ventilation.

Harvest Panel

Our Exclusive Zippered Harvest Panel is arguably the simplest harvest system available anywhere for collecting castings. Simply unzip the panel and pull out the desired amount of casting …then zip it shut. Our Harvest Panel also features an inner liner that protects the zipper from water and dirt. The inner liner also tapers so you can open the harvest panel completely without worrying about the entire contents of your bag coming out.

VermiWindow

The Optional VermiWindow to allows viewing into the bag. This is a perfect solution for teachers or parents that want to teach their kids about Vermicomposting and show them how the worms will change our waste into rich compost. It is amazing to watch a chunk of cantaloupe or avocado change into compost over a period of a week. Simply concentrate your feedings in front of the window and then you will be able to open the window and observe the progress of the worms. The lid to the window closes securely when not in use to prevent light from disturbing the worms.

All critical seams are double stitched to provide added strength and durability to the system.

Interior seams are hand sealed to ensure your Vermi-Bag continues to look good for years.

Each Vermi-Bag is individually handmade and it is possible for the customer to customize the bag as desired. There is no big factory making these….they are all done one at a time in our small studio.

Stands are not included with the VermiBag but we provide a set of simple instructions and videos on how to make a low cost Wooden Stand or PVC Stand for your new VermiBag.
